About Us
ICC shares a desire to shift our world by truly practicing our values and creating our own collective liberation informed by the work of many before us, acting as a fractal to model the broader changes we wish to see in the world.
We are committed to embodying and modeling practices, structures, and communication that support intersectional and collective liberation, shared power, and shared decision making.
We are inspired and excited by the work of adrienne maree brown, Prentis Hemphill, Bayo Akomolafe, Black feminism, the Emergent Strategy Ideation Institute, AORTA co-op, Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures Collective, biomimicry, Movement Generation, queer ecology, mycelium, conflict (in all its forms), grassroots organizing, rent parties (we will support each other), bbq plate sales to pay for funerals, collective land ownership/stewardship, music and food sharing, and much more.
Meet the Team
Individually we are Luz Alejos (she/her), Teri Brezner (she/her), Maya Higgins (she/her), and E. Guilu Murphy (she/her). We believe that who we are together is stronger than who we are as individuals. Together, we are a collective of facilitators, visioners, change agents, movement workers, mediators, curriculum designers, coaches, and educators, with experience working in the realms of environmental justice, food sovereignty, leadership training, coaching, facilitation, mediation, and birthing and end of life care. We believe that how we do the work is as important as what we do.
